Pavle "Maden" Bošković led the way for his side in a 2-0 victory to take home the title.
ENCE have claimed victory in CCT North Europe Series 2, taking home the $22,000 grand prize as well as 150 points on the Champion of Champions Tour regional ranking leaderboard following a 2-0 victory over HAVU.
Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer and company didn't have an easy time of things in the grand final, needing to recover from substantial deficits on both Ancient and Dust2 to claim victory over the Finnish team. It took overtime on the first map and all thirty rounds on the second for ENCE to clinch their win, completing their run through the 16-team bracket stage.
The possibility of a tantalizing grand final between ENCE and Astralis was snatched away early into the tournament when the Danish team were knocked out by HEET in the quarter-finals, leaving the title as ENCE's for the taking.
Initial matchups for the international composition went largely as expected, a 2-0 win over AGO leading into a 2-1 series win over Endpoint. GamerLegion tested ENCE's limits with an opening map win in the series and pushing them to thirty rounds on the second, but Snappi and company prevailed in the end to set up a grand final against HAVU.
The final battle began on Ancient, where HAVU pushed up to an early 5-0 lead before ENCE got on the board. Maden led the way on the T side to give his team a fighting chance, notching six rounds by halftime, but HAVU got off to another sold start following the side swap to lead 12-6, and soon after, 14-9. ENCE remained stoic on the defense, however, denying HAVU the chance to close out the map in regulation and forcing overtime before claiming victory for themselves.
HAVU got right back into the driver's seat on their pick of Dust2, getting off to a blistering 10-1 start on the T side. ENCE finally found their footing and managed to halt the onslaught from the Finnish side, winning 14 of the next 17 rounds to gain the lead at 15-13 before denying HAVU a last-second comeback, closing out the map in round 30.
